Well it started with a wining in the transmission and slipping 2nd to 3rd
so i bought a new/used transmission with 50k on it ($450).
took it to sardinia autoparts had the old one taken out and this one put in ($300). They test drive it to find out it doesnt have reverse. I decide to uninstaall the transmission myself to save money . The company agrees on an exchange. I go and get the car. Suppost to shift fine through all the forward gears. Half way home the transmission severely slips and the service engine light comes so i have to run 20 mph for 3 miles to get home.
Once i got it home i put it in the garage and looked in the haynes repair manual to see what to do . Something to do with a EGR connection confuses me . I look on here and get directed to this thread
Here. This thread has helped so much i am ready to pull the axles in the morning my mood has improved 10x and at this rate i will make it to the g2g but not sure if i will be driving the focus
