Tech party in the garage. 11am-4pm -After that the fun begins. Cruise, BBQ, light show, give-a-ways, music, etc.) Last year it ended at 6am the next morning. [sleeping] But it was an awesome event and hopefully even better this year. [cheers] We have people coming from Idaho, Oregon and Canada, not to mention a bunch of newcomers this year from all over Washington State. Here are just a few reminders that we had last year and we appreciate your understanding. Please make sure that if you are under 21 "Don't plan on Drinking and Don't plan on Driving". We are both too old to hang out in a jail cell. [nono]
If you have small children we don't think this would be the best enviroment to have them attend. Not that we don't enjoy being around little ones, but there will be alot going on and it just wouldn't be safe for them. There will be lots of garage noise, man noises [smackbum], music [sing][sing]and just a lot of people. We still have close to 1 week before the G2G, so hopefully you will be able to have time to find someone to take care of the kids.
If anyone needs me to help locate a motel or hotel close by, please let me know by PM'ing me, there are a few within 15 minutes from our home and less then $80. Let me know if I can help anyone with reservations. Any questions just PM me, we're pretty accommodating to a point. [shhh]
Cruise: [driving] Since the "Tech Day" in the garage will end at 4pm, we are going to try and get the BBQ going soon after that. Burgers, brats, soda and misc side dishes will be provided. If anyone would like to bring something you are more then welcome to. It's going to be a BYOB like last year. We'll have plenty of tubs of ice to put your goodies in. From most of the PM's I've received sounds like most people liked the 25 minutes cruise we went on at the last work party we had. It really is a nice curvey road but the big thing about it is there is a great view of Puget Sound. I"ll have Brad add a nice group shot that they took a few months ago when we went on it. But this way it's not too long or too short and a fun drive and we can get back and eat and have fun with everything else. [shhh][thumb][cheers]
After the cruise we will all vote for the "Best Focus". I've purchased 1st, 2nd and 3rd place medal inscribed on the back with the date, congrats and our G2G for a keepsake. So make sure your baby is nice and clean and runnin well. [clap]
