ok so i wrecked my car a couple months ago and i still have it (the entire car) nothing was damaged to the drive train it was rear end comtact with a pole.
so what i want to do is take the motor and everything related and mount it to some kind of go-kart.
i know im gonna need custom mounts, axles, fuel lines and much more. my main question is what all in the harness am i gonna need to make the engine run normally. im gonna need ecu, main harnesses, ignition/key, fuel pump related stuff, i want to get the obd2 plug and for the gauges to work also. another thing is how the pats system works and where is it?? im sure there are a couple more little things but i mainly need to know about the wiring harness.

and i know some real good fabricators and car gurus to help me out.

i think that would b wicked...i have a buddy with a go cart for sale, but he wont seperate the motor that comes with it. he wants 2200 for the racing go cart, i think a couple motors, tons of gears and tires and wheels and whatnot but if u interested let me know.

the only part of the go kart i really need is the front half. the rear is gonna have to be rebuilt for the extra width and added weight.

i was looking into doing the same a while back. the cost i estimeated to be around 4k. not to mention the weight factor. I was looking into doing a turbocharged sled motor. much quicker as its about 100 lbs lighter and is a CVT. but if you got the dough, then go for it!! and i want to see a build thread!!! lol

4k? u can pick up go karts (big ones not small shifters) for a couple hundred and then maybe a couple hundred in extra tubing. i know ppl for fabricating that i have talked to already.
it doesnt neet to be boosted or need any special tuning its gonna way to fast with stock power output.

we were looking at fabricating everything, from scratch, we already have access to steal and welding, if you can find a cart big enough to run this setup, then it wil probably expensive, but if you can find one, then ur set!!!

Get a rail buggy frame, you can get those left and right on craigslist around where I live. My rail buggy was stout to have a 1600. If I lauched right it would pull the front tires a little off the ground. With a turbo'd zetec, I'm you sure would be baller.
