...i thought it was funny

Anyways no reason to get all upset, you are not the first or last person who has made a rookie mistake although you are probably the first to blow it all up like this. Its not like I handed out infractions or whatnot for double posting, I simply posted an obvious reminder to not do that again. Every newb who does it gets the same post, its more a reminder to that fact that most any question you have has already been asked, analyzed, solved, and improved upon multiple times. The best thing to do is to just read read read, hell most of the more experienced members on here "lurked" for upwards of a year or more before posting much at all.

As for getting all super cereal when I poked fun at your piston mistake or the user title thing, well you need to lighten up. This is the internet after all.

Sorry I rubbed you the wrong way, no one is trying to be "better" than anyone else here or being ballsy behind the internet.

tyler, sorry to ruin your thread, i'll prune it later to make it appear on topic.

(and NE i'm 23, GET IT RIGHT [hihi])

eh, ur all the same to me, u little whippersnappers.

tyler, it sounds like you almost dont even need a tune with the mods you have going/plan to have. remember, its like 450 for about 5hp with those types of mods. money could be put to better use, like suspension or brakes , if you truly are talking about making sure it lasts! i mean, i am sure that stuff is worn (if you havent replaced it all already).

just food for thought.

damn, 10 hrs to just go from one part of the state to the other? that would just piss me off. i mean, if i drive for 10 hrs or more, id better have left my state! ok, im gonna just go back to bein a stud and preparin for the nfl draft.

Its not the peak HP that matters, its the dyno curve itself that is improved. You might pick up big gains in mid-range that wouldn't affect your peak but would drastically improve its drivability. Also it smooths out things and optimizes others.

Personally I think Focus-Power's tune is best but that's just me...

trolled. have a nice day. ha! i want to learn more of these meme things.

oo, thanks, i will have to look at that later!

How convenient. A thread talking about what I was wanting to discuss...
This weekend I met Dario, and he LOVES the focus. They had a booth at the 45th Anniversary of the Mustang, and I walked right up and introduced myself as a focus driver. I got a hat, some very nice Mustang and Focus catalogs, a 10% discount card, and an autographed shirt "Dario Orlando #22 Focus". Most (Mustang) people left with catalogs only. The misunderstandings here, I believe, have a lot to do with how you think of the company. Steeda is a manufacturer, not a tuning shop. They make money selling cars. I agree they should either get on the ball, or just not sell parts on their website. If you call them about orders, you should get better results than on the website. What would happen if you called another manufacturer, say Ford for example, and asked about an upcoming part? Not very much. FS is definately more plugged in to our community, and we should spend our money accordingly where products overlap, but don't assume Steeda doesn't care. I would say they put all their car love into their parts, but I forgot to ask what was up with the TB spacers. The jury's still out on that one.

^^they work on a few FI applications by increasing the Intake Manifold volume. The "swirl" ones are useless on an FI however.

What I can tell you about that posting thing, is that that is in the rules of the board. The mods are supposed to keep the forums clean/cleared of double posts/threads, or topics that are the same. There are reasons for this, such as:
They clutter the forum
They take up bandwidth
They bump other threads down, so they may not be seen

So, as you were posting in your capacity, as a learner, he was acting in his capacity as a moderator. Same convictions, just different directives. We do not like it, but it is how it is. You will sometimes see maybe 4 threads all locked in a row in a forum...that is the result of a mod going it and locking them b/c they are all related to the same topic.

Now, I am not Warneej's personal defender; just trying to impart some knowledge on how the forum works to a new guy, as I feel it is the job of the veterans to help. Whatever goes on b/t you and him otherwise is b/t you two.

Warneej is young as well, i think 20 or so. like most of the guys on here. i am probably the oldest member, even more than brad.

did you check out that link to the thread i sent you? it has A TON of info about the dtec. you say you want to learn...well that is the best place to start.

I did check your link out, thanks for posting it.
Sorry Warneej for blowing it up. I used to be a pretty video gamer when I was in high school- those forums are generally ripe with people who like to shoot you down. I thought that's how all forums were. I'll try to keep in mind you're just doing your job.
