Hmm, I've never heard about a telescoping wheel in a Focus. All I know of is tilt wheels.

Thats because your salesman didn't show you. If you flip down your lever for your tilt steering, just pull or push towards you on your wheel, and it should move in and out. All foci with tilt steering also has telescopic steering. It might be a little tight if you've never used it before. (perverts on that last sentence need not reply)[unsure]

I noticed that you can get a telescoping steering wheel in a focus. Of course I noticed it after I bought mine...Does anyone know if the standard wheel can be swapped out for one of these?
Do you have tilt?

My 2002 ZX5 has tilt and telescopic steering column. It kicks ass. I have long arms and by setting the wheel all the way back, and it's comfortable. Plus my girlfriend is fairly short, so now she can pull the seat ahead and pull the wheel close enough to be comfortable.

Wow I am still suprised that it has telescopic also. Them there John Deers out in da field don't have any telescopic steering eh....lol

Learn something about the focus every day I guess.....

Yeah, I had no idea. Thanks for the info mang!

I hear ya there. I'm 6'1" and and I pull it in towards me a little (the wheel), and it gives me all kinds of knee/leg room gettin' in and out. I also have the bottom of the seat cranked all the way down. It's a great selling point to people that think they're to big/tall for a Focus. I have more room driving in my Focus than I do in a Grand Marquis (and it's ALOT easier to get in and out of).

<-------- was a *******, now has the knowledge. [:D]

Seriously I never knew that... I must have tried it out about 20 times tonight.... coolest thing, course I am pretty tall so I will leave it in all the way but still.....

BTW, I still feel like a ******* though after giving that person shit on here for not knowing the cigarette ashtray/coin holder thing pulled out of the dash. lol

is there anywhere i can buy an ashtray that will take the place of the coin holder? i have an ashtray but its the one that you get from walmart that you place in your cup holder. im always having to move the ashtray onto my lap so i can put drinks in the drink holder.
