04 Focus- one cylinder with no spark

I have an 04 Focus.

#2 spark plug wire has no spark. Wires are new.

Would you suspect the coil pack? Does it make sense that only one cylinder can lose spark? I am not sure if this system uses Waste Spark and if so- I thought I should get them failing in pairs.

Thoughs?

My daughter's 00 Focus SE lost the spark only on Cyl #4. It was the coil. Aftermarket worked fine and is a lot cheaper. Good Luck!

Yes most likely the coil pack. Had the same thing happen on my truck with the #1 Cylinder. replaced pack, problem solved.

Also, check Amazon for the part. Dealer wanted $175, I got a brand new one from Amazon for $50.

rock auto or hilbish ford can prolly get you a descent price on a coil
