What Would You Do?

I've budgeted $300 for this month towards performance upgrades. I've narrowed my choices down to either: 1) an SCT switch chip or 2) cam gears.

What would you do? Where's the most bang for the buck?

It would be helpful to know what other mods you have done to the car. Cam gears are an OK mod, but you'll have to also budget dyno time to dial in the stock cams because each engine is different and the stock cam settings are not always the same.

My suggestion in that case would be the tune. Give you slightly better fuel economy as well! That is if you can keep your foot outta the gas!

ya depends on the mods you already have or don't have. My opinion i'd say save your money lol

go w/ the tune. The cam gears aren't really worth your time for stock cams. they can be, but prolly not worth it. definitely go w/ the sct!

Why not wait to do both at the same time. This way the tune will be matched to all of your upgrades. No sense getting the SCT if you are going to go with cam gears and tune them next month. Tune with everything together.

My understanding is that if you go with Tom's tune, he'll update it at no cost each time you do another upgrade. (correct me if I'm wrong)
