Car: 2007 SES

Problem: Hit black ice and spun 180 into a snow pile. no visual damage is present but there is something wrong. The impact was passenger side rear. It sqeaks a little when you bounce the car up and down; And when turning it doesn't want to shift the weight properly. it feels dangerous.

Solution? anyone have experience? please help me out.

I can't tell until i jack the car up. It's so cold at the moment. I think i may have damaged the bushing and the trailing arms may slightly be bent bit. the strut and springs look fine. I'm hoping i didn't damage the rear subframe.

basically the tire was forced up compressing everything making it ride up a ramp a snow on one side in reverse. i should've took pictures.

> it feels dangerous.

Could you perhaps elaborate a bit more on this?
traveling in a steep turn, the weight shifts feeling like the car wants to wipe out. of course this is traveling 80km/h plus. it feels like the alignment is out a tad but its not the main issue.

its going in on thursday to get looked at. i just wanted to see what i'm in for. my stealership is fantastic. i will check it out myself while it's on the lift.

I would almost gauruntee that you bent something. All the parts are designed to save weight and dont take a curb shot (or snowdrift in oyur case) like they used too. Fortunatly, 90% of the time you simply need to replace a bent controll arm/trailind arm or strut and the car is good to go.

A trailing arm with hub and bearing shouldn't cost much from a parts yard, especially since it's interchangeable from 2000-2007. If you're technically inclined enough to use a 1/2" drive ratchet with a cheater bar to take out 6 bolts, and disconnect your brake lines, you can do this job in about an hour or two and save a metric buttload of money. Have the car aligned afterward. You may need to install a rear camber bolt if they tell you it won't align.
