has anyone had their SVT Focus in to get its computer reprogrammed, I am supposed to get mine fixed tomorrow, the SVT salesman told me ford issued this fix recently, its supposed to make the car start quicker and give it more power.

Where when how?????????? I called last week....ford and SVT and they said non were available! Search for ECU, there are a few threads on it.
I just went in today and the salesman told me they just posted it, i guess the svt's start too slow from cold, where the engine turns over about 4 times each time u start it, this should fix it, and im gonna get more power, he explained it to me somehouw but i didn't quite understand that part
I wonder if the salesman is assuming that the 04's can get the YRF0 update. Don't hold your breath until you actually speak to a service guy. I took my 04 into the dealer less than a month ago and they ran the latest check on all service bulletins, etc...nothing available yet. By all means, though, if you find out something we don't know, please come back and tell us! I've got my fingers crossed....

]I work for Ford and I have access to www.FMCDEALER.com which has a program called "OASIS" that when you put in a VIN code it will tell any updates issues or concerns[thumb] So needless to say I check about once or twice a month.

i don't really understand.. is there a difference between the 04's and the rest of the SVTF's??? and if the 04's get a new program can the rest of us get it as well???

Can you confirm that the latest flash for us 04's is the ZEDO? If not what is? And last do the 04's flash open the secondary runners at 5000rpm's like the YFRO flash did for the 03's? The reson I ask is because on the SVT website it still says the 04 open at 6000rpms.

Well I only have 300 miles on my car so I won't be running it up to 5000 to 6000 RPM's any time soon. It should take me another two weeks to get enough miles on the car to feel safe pushing it that high. I like to put about 500 to 1000 miles on a car before I dog on it.
