So might be looking for a set of camshafts for the ST here in the next couple months. Just had a generic question for all ya's with aftermarket cams in their focus. Basically what brand do you have, what made you want them (as far as different specs on them and such) and what has your experience been with that set? The only makers I know of are Crower, Crane and Cosworth.

Well I have never done cams before but its all mechanics. Just have to be prepared and careful. I have a friend over here who has done cams on his ST so hes gonna help me out as well. I am not too scared. Have the friend and honhon's how-to so its gonna be cake.

anyone in here with cams notice a sound differance? I mean before with the cossie header when I downshifted it used to gurgle and pop now after the stg.2 it doesnt do that anymore, oh and it really smoothes out the car, I did the bs delete and before all the vibration would shake the mirrors now its just doesnt vibrate at all!

wait, youre saying the BSD removed your vibrations??? that is way off from what is normally noted with these......[dunno]

no, when I did the bsd it increased my vibrations but when i did the cams it reduced them.

I am saving for my Cam's now. There going in after I get my OBX header. I am planning on Cossie Cams and Springs.

its actually a lower idle, i guess the cams just smooths it out, but I definently reccomend cams to everyone! You get some weird ass looks at redlights when your car is idling and loping, cant wait for dec. for the stg.3 cossie cams!
