hey guys, i was just wondering if there are any lowering springs that would be less than the usual 1.5-2.0 inch drop... I don't mean less as in more. I mean like a drop of about 1 inch. I want something that's more than the svt kit but i don't wanna drop 1.5+. I saw the H&R springs are 1.4/1.3. I think that's my only option. My wheels are 17inch with a 40 offset. I like the wheels and i am keeping them, so no need to tell me to get new wheels. I know that 1.5 inch drop has a high chance of rubbing, so i'd like to get with something a lil less of a drop. I've done some looking but keep seeing the same thing...eibach, etc... any ideas? i appreciate any ideas and combinations. I saw ebay has some roush shocks and struts for pretty cheap. Wondering if they would make with a good spring.

I'm not lookiing for coilovers so no need to tell me to spend a grand lol I'm not building a race car but i would like a little drop and improve the suspension as well.

does anyone have any experience with ^^^ springs? The desc says it loweres approx 1.2 inches which would be ideal for me. but at the bottom it says lowers 1.7/1.5.. so i guess those are out of the question. Any combination or ideas im game to take into account

adj struts? won't that just increase the stiffness? Thanks for the idea though. anyone else?

Koni sport springs are a 1.3 inch drop. Might want to look into those.

thanks... but they say it will drop 40mm which is a lil over 1.5 inches. i just don't think there is a lowering spring that is lower than 1.5 out there that i can see

^^^ i know that. That is too small of a drop. I'm looking for and inch drop or a lil more, but i guess that's just not possible

just put a bunch of weight an your car, till it sits just where you want it.

just kidding... i got addjutable coilovers, its well worth your $ just save for a few months or whatever and do it rite

i'm not looking for a really low setup... just something more than the svt setup can provide.. Like i was looking for something like an inch drop. Just i wasn't sure if 1.5 inch drop would be too much with my wheels. I have 40 offset 17's.

the teins would be good...but make sure you get a badass damper. like a koni or kyb cuz they are soft so you are gonna wanna balance that out.

but they are the best option imo...the pro kit isnt quite 1.5...its a bit less if you see it in person a great drop none the less. my buddy has the prokit on his 2.3 hatch with 40 offset wheels and he never rubs...

^^Man, I can't believe you didn't suggest "Coilovers" for the first time. Ha, ha.

IMO, I love the Intrax I am running on my SVT. 1/2" fender gap in the front and about 1" in the rear. The ride is very good and it handles......[thumb]

i would have...lol

i mean i have my coilovers wound all the way down and a 40mm offset wheel and i never rub...but im super gangster

Gangster??? Shoot, you know nothing about being gangsta. Let me let you in on a secret...I'm running 40mm offset wheels with a 15mm spacer in the rear, and LOWERED, on top of that. Now that's gangsta!! [rofl]

hahah i guess it is...lol
