in 35w kits, the color sticks. when you go to the 55w kits is where you start washing out color.
5000-6000 will give you the best light output from both kits.

cool...now i have to convince my dad that there will be no glare blinding other drivers...i think this will.

^^^Sounds like bickering to me... Completely unnecessary.

Anyway, I think it would help to know which projectors to stay away from, and which projectors have decent cut-offs.

Another thing that makes me wonder is that my 2004 Mini Cooper S has HIDs but doesn't have projectors. Could a similar cut-off shield be retrofitted into the stock headlight housing as well?? Hmmmm. I'm just thinking out loud, but what do you think??

^^ This can be achieved. I know the new shelby mustang in one trim level had HID's without a projector. I have seen it done and may try to toss a link on here of how it has been preformed on other vehicles.

Projectors to stay away from? as far as cut off and light throw Mach's will be number 1 of course. A Factory set up will ALWAYS be better than aftermarket. Alot of ebay projectors can be used and offer a decent cut off but most who are big into hid's aren't happy with the throw and cut-off.

A retrofitted shield is possible though ill do some checking though.

Also wasn't bickering just tossing back and forth ideas. Like i said out of ALL the HID setups i have seen and then seen pics of the cut-offs i would safely say i have one of the best. I am entitled to say this.
