long tube header, 2.5" flex pipe and 2.5" exhaust system with 2 hi flowed cats...that should give you the sound your looking for dude teehee
Do you want your Focus to be louder then mine????

IMO, borla and mbrp are the two best for the focus. If you want loudest possible, you will want a 4-1 or 4-2-1 race header, flex pipe (same size as ur exhaust either 2.25 or 2.5) and an exhaust. I own the borla 2.5 in, 2.5 in trubendz flex, and Focus sport 4-1 headers. At low rpm, it sounds very deep and as u rise through the rpms, it eventually sounds like a rally car, especially around the 8k rpm range. It roars!!!

i am running a hollowed Cat,no resonator
CherryBomb Muffler(str8 thru pipe basically and deep mellow sound No RICE At All!!)
2 inch piping
sounds good for me and is not obnoxious sounding at all
i'll post a video clip tomorrow

focussport has the best tone IMO. and best quality

That sounded good fociboi. Does all of these "mods" affect fuel economy. I bought my foci for a gas saver. Now that I have it i want to "sport " it up some. What are most of you all getting in MPG with a typical CAI and Full exhaust system?

i just got my system tonight baby ! i got 2 12's pioneers. 800 watts each then a sony xplod amp. 1200 watts. pioneer type s speakers...shit sounds good ! ill post some pics soon. it takes up my whole [:)][:)][:)][:)][:)][:)] hatch tho =[

svt headers will fit an 02 zx3?
technically yes. the svt is a zetec. they share the same bolt pattern. on the other hand its not just a simple bolt on ordeal. you need an svt flexpipe, svt oil dipstick, and a few other components to get it all to fit correctly. theres a big sticky thread about it in the zetec performance forum.

on the other hand why doesnt anyone just get a cutout? im just gonna keep my stock svt exhaust and put a cutout right behind my flexpipe. open her up for performance and sound, close it off for quiet no bitchy neighbors.

i wanted my friend to do that only not on a focus lol he has a 55belair with a like 900 sumthin hp engine he had it open headers for a while and would shake his house with when he turned it on but then he put mufflers on it and i liked it better open soo i told him to put in a cutout

You don't want it to be really loud, usually loud on a Focus sounds like total sh!t.

Some other things I've noticed... short headers don't produce more torque. Long tubes are best but the downside is they are usually illegal. Another thing you don't want to do is buy a high flow cat and gut it, that probably made it flow worse. I know it does for our stock cats. HF cats are almost as efficient as an off-road pipe (no cat). Maybe 1 or 2 hp less on average, and you won't stink as much or be quite as loud.

My favorite and IMO ideal setup for anything that isn't a huge boosted build is an SVT header, to a Random Tech High-flow cat, 2.5" flex, Borla SVT catback or a comparable resonated catback (but I love the Borla sound). That's "legal" and is a great flowing setup, just the right volume.

So I guess this means I'm gonna get bashed for bolting an FS long-tube header, race extension pipe, straight-through 2.5" exhaust and ending it with an HKS 6" can?
