instaling the amp

Drilling is the best way, and i say even make the hole a little bit bigger that way when you want to run say more amps or different things thru you have a hole. Just make sure the hole is high enough, use the grommet like Scott said to keep it from rusting. I got some silicon around my grommet.

I tinkerd around today and i think i have a nother way...

Sence i have a auto, there is no petal for the clutch, but the space where the clutch goes is still there. There are 2 small tabs that are held there by a small bolt, so tommorow, im going to remove the battery, then rought the wire threw that little slot, that should work good. thanks for the advice though guys.

ahh ic ic. if you have a digital camera and it's not too much trouble, could you take a picture of it? it'd help other members out alot i'm sure, thanks.

and by the way Bluefocusx, the grommet is actualy to protect the power wire (positive). without a grommet you'd have sharp edges that can cut into the positive wire and short/ground out on the negative chassis, blowing a fuse (you better have a fuse within 18" of the battery or you could have some big problems).

That seems like where I ran my power wire. 2 plastic removable plates behind the brake pedal that can easily be drilled and replaced if needed. I didn't realize that it could be the clutch pedal holes if so equipped.

yea, two little black tabs with a bolt in the middle? Thats right where the clutch pettel placment would be, so theres nothing behind it then? I was worried about drilling threw it into something.

I did this install today. Here are some pics. Hope you all enjoy and hope this is helpful to someone. Note, I was originally going to run the ground back to the - on the battery, but I was informed that running it into the trunk was much better, which is what I did. In the future I might use the black wire for another hot for another amp for another sub that I might put in the back, but for now it is plenty loud. :)

I had to remove the air transfer tube up top and get the fuse box out of the way to fish the wires up through the firewall and into the engine compartment:

Will the clutch plate area accomidate 4 AWG wire?
