I got my car Dec. 2006 and two months later the alternator goes out. Three months after that one of my valve seats drop and the pistons looked like someone took a meat cleaver to them. So, after sitting for another 6 months I put a new head on and not a week later all 4 valve seats drop and again the pistons looked horrible. I took it to the mechanic 2wks ago to get a new motor put in and they call and tell me the motor they put in blew as soon as they started it up. So, motor #4 went in the next week and I went and picked it up. Everything seemed fine drove it around all day and then the oil light comes on. WTF! I look in the motor no oil, so I thought the mechanic didn't put enough oil in the motor or something. So, I start pouring oil in and it's pouring out underneath the car.[?|] Took it home and checked everything out, the cam shaft seal popped out. I stuck it back in and everything was good again. Yesterday I'm driving the car around again and it starts idling all retarded. When I sit at a light it idles real low and then normal and then low again and shuts off. The check engine light comes on w/ the code 0171 which is system running to lean. I tell you as soon as I fix the car this time I'm done. She is being traded in for something else. My car makes me sick.[vommit] I love my little car so much at the same time. I had already started modifying it and had it almost the way I wanted it and now I just don't trust it enough to keep it. Damn blasted Focus!

ya get a zetec or something. good luck getting something else
 
def sounds like you need a new mechanic..your telling me all these motors are just blowing up all over the place look to the person who installs the motor for the real problem i mean cmon

Happens with age and high miles. Usally is'nt that hard or exspensive to fix.

All 4 at once? Now things are sounding fishy. That just does'nt happen unless it's serverly over heated.

Thats a big line of stinky bull crap right there. The motor was bad from the start and should of been under some ones warranty.

Sounds like your O2 sensor died, if one of the old motors blew collent out the exhaust this would help kill it.
 
definately sounds too BAD to be true. but if i were you i would dump it... as great as these cars are, any one of them can turn into a money fire. buy a japanese car. they will not break...

Eff a Japanese car! I'm gonna stick w/ my chevrolets from now on! BTW i found out that i'm stuck w/ this piece until i pay a little more of the payments. I own way more than the damn thing is worth. I so got effed on this car. I love my car for the way it looks, but i hate the motor.
 
wow i also think its the tech working on it if u got a tech that dasnt know how to do shit right then yea youl have that problem i had the same problem i had a 82 bronco 2 for my first car my freands and i bet the thing to hell and back many times then one dar my clutch blew now this bronco had almost a million miles on it no joke everything was the origanal wich thats had to beleve but back to the story i to it to a machnic fixed it ran like a champ then my crank blew throw the block an the oil pan dont ask me how it just did took it to the same guy fixed it up 2 days later my crank blew again took it there again got a new one for free cus he gave me a woranty on it thak god the week later my pistons went throw the block i was pissed i took it to new guy he told me that if he would of put assembly lube and replased the piston rods that non of it would of happend and then i really freeked and the guy told me that it would of cost me over 2000 to fix it all up i told him that im selling it for scrap finish the 1500 daller debt i had
