this weekend i installed energy suspension torque mount inserts. does anyone know the torque specs for this? my car has more than normal vibration at idle now. is this normal? i suspect its because i have over torqued the bolts.

If your talking about the rear motor mount, a bigger than normal vibration at idle is normal due to the solid bushing.

hey 03zetec gotta question for ya, I've got my inserts waiting to be installed. Did you need a press to get them in or get the old ones out?

well, if by press you mean bench vice, then yes lol! a press would have been the way to go but the vice works if you take your time. i took a 2x6 and cut a 3" circular hole in it, then used the peice that i cut out to "press" the rear bushing in. worked pretty good. make sute that you have the bushing positioned where you want it because once its in, its not gonna rotate.

dirtbrown, so this will all go away with time? i drive this car 120 miles a day and drivabliity is a huge factor for me. i dont want to shake the car to peices!

torque specs, anyone?

on the instruction sheet there is another bushing insert that looks like it fits in the factory rubber mount. part no 1098. anybody have this insert? this would probably be the best of both worlds.
