you have a 2002...are you sure you have a duratec? the duratec was introduced in 04 i believe...unless someone did a swap on it before you had it.

if you do indeed have a duratec, you can turbo the stock motor no problem if im not mistaken (im not too familiar with the zetec)...everything you need will come with the turbo kit (considering you get a kit from a seller like Focussport, ect). it's recommended though that you have a 2.25 - 3" exhaust that way you dont restrict the turbo.

Is the intake on the front or the back of the engine? (front = by the radiator...back = by the firewall)

If it is on the back, it is a Zetec, if it is on the front, it is a Duratec.

Can you post a picture up for us, just so we can be sure?

Now that you said split port, I'm thinking you have one of the SOHC motors...

I, along with just about everyone that has posted in this thread, am having a very hard time believing that it is a Duratec motor in your car.

BTW, sorry for all the doubt, but the 2.0L Duratec (DOHC) motor was only available in the '05+ Focus, whereas the 2.0L SPI (Split-Port Induction, SOHC) and 2.0L Zetec (DOHC) were available in the '00-'04 Focus...also in '03-'04, the 2.3L Duratec (DOHC) was available...the 2.3L was also available in the '05-'07 Focus ST.
