Had a package slip in the post office box today. My ebay windshield wiper switch showed up today. $15 shipped!
Took all of 1 minute to install.
Now I'm fancy like the rest of you.

The delay wiper switch is sooo nice. That's the first thing I did to my focus when I had it.

Easy enough: Do a search on ebay for focus wiper switch:

There's a brand new one listed for $30 right now.

Make sure it says intermittent or delay in the description.
You literally remove the stock switch and plug in the intermittent switch. NO OTHER MODS NEEDED!!

yeah you just pop the top of the steering comolum off its the black cover then the stock switch slides up and you slide the new on in its not that hard sholdnt takemore then 20 minutes to do you know

It allows you to switch between speeds on the wipers. With the lower end models you only get 3 speeds. really slow. fast. and faster. The delay lets you slow down or speed up each of those modes. My girfriend has a delay wiper switch and i have the p.o.s. one. I hate getting into my car when its raining because it's either too slow and too fast for the rain. Not that it matters too much when it's faster, it's just annoying not being able to control it more.

does anyone know if it matters if it's for a hatch or not. I never paid much attention to my girlfriends (sedan) if it has the movement of mine (hatch) with the rear wiper. or are they all the same?

Sedan, 3, or 5 door doesn't matter. The switch will fit.

i did this a while back and it never worked. either i got a bum switch or a relay is bad. what do you guys think.

Bad switch.
Everything is internal to the switch, if it worked with the regular switch and you plugged in the delay switch and it didn't work, it's the switch.
