** UPDATED** Help getting OASIS Information PLEASE!!!

Well I was hoping that this would not be my first post but here it is. I have a 2001 Focus ( Vin 1FAFP33P41W136619 ) Which I got recently and have really enjoyed thus far. I've been driving around town for about a week and it's beena fun little car!!! Well, I drove it to work this morning and went around the clover leaf to get on the highway and it stalled a little. I didn't think much of it because the tank was a little low and I thought maybe the gas went to one side of the tank so I cruised along. Well, about 5 minutes later I was going around 70 or so then when I headed uphill I lost acceleration!!!! The car didn't die and so I pulled to the shoulder and sat with the engine running for a moment as I contemplated turning around and picking up my other vehicle. Well I accelerated and it took off again so I figured It was just a fluke so I headed to work since I was running a little late. The same thing started happing again and again so I would pull off, wait then go again until I arrived at work.

Well reading here on this forum (which is UNBELIEVABLE I might add) I found the info in the Fuel Delivery Module recall and called my local Ford dealer to see if I could get it fixed and The Service guy said there was no info on my vin!!!!

I'm a little suspect of him so I questioned him if there was anything at all on my car and he said no, nothing at all. Well that wasn't true because I went to Ford's website and found one for a Rear door latch for my VIN. My concern is that my build date ( October 2000 ) is within the time frame and the build location ( Wayne ) is referenced in the Bulletin also.

What I need is the OASIS report run by a tech to see if the Dealer is lying and just doesn't want to fix it or doesn't know about the fuel issue with this vehicle.

Just wondering also if my VIN is not on the "List" am I just SOL?

Thank You for your help!!!!!!!!!!!

I am not sure about that report, but try calling a different dealer or there is guy on here that works at a ford dealership and maybe he can help. Someone can give you his name, I think it's Mike or something???

Yeah, PM Mike (b16sir1991) with your VIN and email address and he will send you a report. He works at a Ford Dealership and also has his own forum here under Hilbish Ford, you can try to contact him there as well. It will show on your report that the car is eligible, look for a code 03N01. That is the campaign code for the fuel pump.

OASIS WONT TELL ANYTHING.
HAVE THEM LOOK FOR THE TSB ABOUT THE FUEL PUMP, IT WAS A RECALL ITEM. (sorry, im at work and always have the caps on...lol)

oasis is just a repair history and only goes back 90 days (so i keep getting told).

right, the fuel pump TSB is something they have to fix at the dealer.. if you already don't trust the people at that particular dealership, i suggest you don't give them your business, and find a better dealership. there is one around here that i will never go to again because i've had nothing but bad experiences with them.

good luck, and welcome to FF... lots of good information and helpful people here

Yes you DO have the rear door latch recall. Nothing for the fuel pump.

BTW goinloco- With OASIS you can look at the vehicles entire warranty repair history so who ever told you 90 days was mis-informed.

I have found that the Ford site shows some, but not all, of the information. I believe Ford limits it to actual recalls, and not "campaigns," or such, that are suppose to be somewhat discretionary, e.g., I believe the fuel pump is to be replaced only if the owner reports specific symptoms.

Well
What I need is the OASIS report run by a tech to see if the Dealer is lying and just doesn't want to fix it or doesn't know about the fuel issue with this vehicle.
The dealer is telling you the truth. Report shows only extended coverage for front springs program 03M02 and rear door latch corrosion 05S27.

Now I see the fuel pump was replaced on that car March 28 2005 on program 03N01 at Sun State Ford Inc Orlando FL at 56525 miles
They will only replace the pump once under the progam.

^^That sucks because what he is describing is classic Fuel Pump.
