Cold Air Intake

I am interested in adding a cold air intake to my 03 SVT. Simple to install, without making the car much louder or rougher.

Easily found many short ram systems but cannot find much info on cold air systems.

Any suggestions?

I dont really know much about CAIs, but I know that Steeda is a very reliable company with a solid price. http://www.steedafocus.com

Anyone else heard anything about the steeda CAIs?

Yeah I got a Steeda Short Ram on my ZX3 and love it, just ordered more stuff from them again. Awesome company as far as customer service and things like that goes.

I put Steeda's Short Ram air intake, and 65mm throttle body on my '02 SVT. Yes, it is louder, but not bad. A week later I added the Magnaflow cat-back exhaust (from Steeda); even louder, but still not too bad. And driving around with your windows down, moonroof open, and your foot on the gas... It really moves, and sounds good doing it.

my first mod was AEM cold air intake, great mod, great sound and nice gains. Only bad side is you cannot upgrade the maf

Is it true you lose top end power when you install a cold air intake? Also is it hard to make a catch can for a cold air intake

from what i have noticed i really only pull away from a stock svt in high end of 3rd and 4th gear, not much low end difference with aem cai

I have an 03 SVT and I used Steedas short ram intake and it performs well. It does give you a little better sound and good power for the price. Remember that because you are an SVT owner you get 10% of your order through Steeda, not a bad deal. As for the 65mm tb and magna flow exhaust that Jegjr used it's a waste of money. SVT put so much into the exhaust system that any aftermarket system will not give you more then 3hp. I'm stayin with the stock system.
