I was just curious with lifting a Focus. What would be needed if one were to lift their car with an intent to install a more off-road based suspension, and tires. Are there any companies with such kits, and what would the effects be?

If you wanted to raise the car, lets say for rallying, that could be done one of two ways; a firmer spring of stock length or very close to it, or an adjustable shock (the kind that is height adjustable without compressing or decompressing the spring to do so (like a Tein Type Flex as an example).

Super cool idea!! lol I wanna see it when you get it done.

um I would say contact your local 4wheel shop but idk what you guys have up there. a suspention lift will help with the feel and handleing of the car at a taller ride height, but to gain alot of clearance you need to look into a body lift then accompany that with larger tires

wtf that mont is just palin a** stupid.. but as far as lifting,, my oldest son and i were discussing me buying another one and giiving it a rally llok, but lifting it for a baja style look,,, small world...lol ( but hey i am in alabama, lol)
