i am in the process of making a new box

put my ipod interface in the glove box and have the cable come out through the slidey thing i never used so my ipod chills in there

I installed a lineout converter into my 05 ZX3. Its really easy and sounds good as long as you have a good quality LOC. I was going to put in two ten inch kicker comps but they ended up being blown so I just have all the lines ran for now. Going to get a twelve inch W3 soon though... Also with as little bass as the stock speakers have its easy to crank the bass a bit and get more from the subs without getting much if any distortion on the speakers.

you should look into rockford fosgates p3 and a punch 1000 amp. they hit like a brick in a hatch like ours (i still need the p1000 amp but my 500x2 provides plenty of bumpage for now)

My system isn't much as I just started upgrading it. I've only upgraded the HU so far. My next target are my door speakers. [ffrocks]

hmmm i may try mounting my amps to the back of the seats. after i glue some mdf back there or something. (i brokea buddy's drill bits trying last weekend. and i'm building a low rise box that should house enough air to run a couple of 12's (thinking about p2's)

i gotta take pics to put up, but how are you guys securing your boxes? mine tends to make the mat slide, not the box itself though.

well, in took the amp and subs out as my radio and ipod were stolen last week, but heres some pics of how i mounted my subs

basically, i made a false floor out of mdf, and made l brackets and screwed them into the box and false floor... it worked great, didnt slide at all... and if youre smart, dont use the l brackets, but screw the box down from inside the box, that way its hard to get out in case someone breaks in and wants to steal the subs
