From what I've read in the HOW-TO, it is not mentioned to remove the harness. I'm assuming that if you use 200* temperature for the oven then the wiring and connector will be fine. Be sure to take your time with this project and I think everything will go smoothly.

Cheers!

i also freaked over this... but cooked them anyway, they will be fine!

and i rubbed mine on accident and messed up one of the corners but it will be okay im not taking them pack apart anytime soon lol

I rubbed mine to while putting them back together. I shouldnt of rushed. Ill get some new ones here pretty soon. I also had some trouble with them rubbing, kinda pissed me off but you dont really notice it unless you look really hard and I figured that if they get that close ill just put it in drive and the paint will be the last thing they're worried about.

I just used normal gloss black paint by duplicolor or who ever they are and no i didnt clean coat them i heard somewhere that will dall the shit down a little or something.. i painted them like 5 times to cover all the chrome let them dry a little than put them back together i could have had them back in within 6 hours but i wanted to go to bed and i didnt want to be installing them in the dark.. and also i used 2000 grit paper and just scuffed them up like anything i paint... turned out nice if i get my digital back from my brother tonight ill take some pics they really match the jdm black sidemarkers i bought ;)

I need my car all the time too... if you have ONE day off, you can do it. Early morning, pull that shit apart, and work on both of them at the same time (while one dries, you paint the other). Slap it all back together and let the silicone dry throughout the afternoon and evening (it'll be dry to the touch). During the day you can drive around with two big holes in the front of your car, I did. At night, get your woman to drive you around, that's what I did. Before you go to bed, run a bead of silicone over the seal just for good measure and let that dry until the next morning. Wake up early and reinstall the lights!

Yeah you can take them apart the night before and get them all drying and than you have your car the next day and if for some reason something doesent go right least you have that day off and can fix it... trust me its a simple little 5 or 6 hour jobby.... i put another bead of sealent on there right before i put them back in just for good luck so they didnt leak and they havent yet knock on wood.. still no pix of them yet cause i allowed someone to borrow my video camera and my darn digital cameras both of them and havent went and picked them up yet maybe tomorrow after work ill run and grab em and post some pics on here.. now all i need is to tint my tails maybe ill be brave and nightshade them..
