hey guys and gals.. Ive been trying to look for a tach cluster for about a week now and had no luck.. could yall help me out in searching will they migh bee.. i have an 05 and the part number is 4S4T-10849-FJ.. cookiemonster told me that all i needed was the first number and juss find one with a tach. could yall help me out.. and also do i need to change my key codes for the 05 cuz that is what ford said.

I did a search for 2005 Ford Focus Speedometers and it gave a list, all of which start with 4S4T-10849. My guess is that they would all be interchangable. You probably only want MPH, so that narrows the list down to 3 series.
Select one at a time and look through the list for a description which specifies that it has a tach. A few I found for your model are:
Under BC-BJ I found:

You could try calling one of those places. They might not be able to tell you anything about it, since it's probably a salvage yard and they'd have to go pull it first. The best bet for you is probably getting the one under the BC-BJ or FE-FJ category. I'm not sure exactly what "HIGH SERIES" means so I'm not as confident the last one would work.
When I got mine, I called them up and was able to pay with a credit card over the phone and they shipped it out that day. Just make sure you can return it in case it doesn't work. Worst case scenario you'll have to pay a shipping fee, plus maybe a couple bucks "re-stocking"

Yeah. Ebay might not be a bad idea, since it's looking like all the 05 gauges are interchangable with each other. Ebay will show you a picture and you'll see right then if it has a tach or not. car-part.com worked great for my 04 2.3L because it's apparently a hard to find item, but for something as "ripe" as an 05, ebay wouldn't be a bad idea at all.
Just steer clear of mkrberger or somethng like that. I had to go all the way through a paypal complaint/grievance just to get that dude to honor his return policy.

there are no setting for airbags or abs in the cluster. only thing it has to do with airbags or abs is the light. the airbag module is located under the console right behind the ebrake. abs module on the firewall.

Yep. And good luck explaining that it "doesn't fit." Most sellers have it listed as "will fit all non-SVT," which is partially true, but they don't know that there is a pretty significant difference even amongst non-SVT foci. If you buy it online/ebay, just make sure you can return it.
