Can I put a WIDER tire on a 18x7.5" wheel?

I want to get some more width then my stock 17x7's....

ps Ive only found 18x7.5's so far in my wheel search, no 18x8's....maybe those would be too large?

i've got 18x7.5's, with a 215/35/18 tire, and i'm rubbing on hard cornering. granted, with a more "stock" ride height (ala SVT), you would be fine. so you may be able to sneak a wider tire in there without problem. just watch the wheel offset (you'd want a 42mm or 45mm to be safe).

Your cars at svt height? And it rubs? []

That sucks, I was going to drop my rear a little with coilovers and keep the stock front svt height, but I corner hard...alot so I definatly wouldnt want rubbing...

no, i'm saying, with YOUR ride height, there shouldn't be much problem. i'm about 2" lower than SVT height. hence the rubbing. lol

Does anyone in the whole world make a 18x8 for a ford 4x108mm bolt?

there are plenty of companies. go to www.tires.com and look on their site. I was just on there and saw about 10-15 rims.

The only 18x8 I found was a RS type wheel and it was $230.oo each.

For 18x7.5's....there are alot of 4x100 18x7.5's, but barily any 4x108mm.

Will 4x100mm work?

Oh ya or will this work >>>>> 18x7.5 4-100/114.3 ?

I need something that will work on my car (03 svt) since 4x108mm is scarce

4x100 will not fit. nor will 114.3. you need 108.

I bought TSW Pace 4x100 18x7 rims. They are being drilled out to 4x108.. piece of cake.

Go to www.svt.ford.com and on the bottom menu bar click Performance Parts. On the page there will be a Sports Compact Catalog. Click that and choose the type of fyle you want to use (Java or PDF) and it will download or load up... Then you can click wheels and there are a few in there you can get (4 different colors of the stock SVT rims) and a few assorted others.
