How many times can the clay bar be used? I'm kinda curious. I want to grab one, and i was planning to lend it to a couple friends that i have been telling about it.

Do-able?

It depends a lot on how many contaminates are being pulled off the finish. You can clay a car and it has so many bonded contaminates you may need a second bar. Then again you may be able to use the same bar 10 times. Best bet would be to just but a bar for your car and use it until it becomes to dirty to use on the car.

No, clay bar removes contaminants, if you have scratches and scuffs they need more attention - ScratchX if they're light, up to repainting if they're deep...

polishing removes scratches, swirl marks, and scuffs. there are different grades of polish depending on the condition of your paint. you need to use a good foam applicator though too when polishing

does a claybar help with scuffs, nicks, and scratches
No, not at all. It is for removing ABOVE surface defects. (i.e. tree sap, fall out, etc...)

Scratches and swirls are BELOW surface defects. They need to be polished out.

I always cut it into smaller pieces, that way it goes a lot farther. The last time I claybared my car, I used a piece about the size of an ice cube and did the whole thing.
