65MM TB Whistle!

I just installed a 65 mm tb yesterday and notice there is no slot for air to get through at idle like the stock one has. Well whenever my car is warming up it will whistle untill it warms up. The engine doesnt sound like it is gasping for air at idle though. Any suggestions on how to fix the whistle?
Oh BTW I love the Response of my throttle. Im still getting used to it.

i thought svt's had a 65mm tb already and could be bored to 67 ???

There is a space for the idle air it is three holes in the same location as the stocker.

You sure that whistle isnt the sound of the TB leaking? If you dont scrape off all of the old gasket before putting on the new gasket.....it will leak. I know this from experience.

Do you have a cai ? mine used to do that wi th a cai until i got the new 67mm but yeah ii think the original was 63m in a stock svt and yes the new ones have those holes where the old one had them just look

I think the svts is different because the gasket was a heavy rubber piece that was not even close to rotting

I matched mine with a Short Ram and its definately a good whistle, not a leak.

haha It almost sounds like a bad belt. It only stops even I give it a little gas. So its only at idle

any leaks between tb and intake?

Try loosening the bolts and then slowly tightening them and be very even, slowly drawing down the tb. it sounds like the tb might be a lil warped.

Mine has done this since the day I put it on. It's not constant and it goes away when I turn up the audiophile...[thumb]

Kinda sounds like a blow off valve, but happens at the wrong time.

I know my '02 Ranger would whistle after I installed a K&N cone filter on the CAI.

My '02 SVT with the 67mm CFM TB and stock SVT intake Box is quiet.. Honestly If it wasnt for the occasional eaton whine and tad bit louder Borla, My car is very stealthy..

Ill check for leaks. I dont mind the noise because it goes away in about a minute but if its a leak then I wanta get rid of it
