ok, here it is.....I snagged it up for $150 and stuffed it in my room....A buffy had it and repainted his car and took it off.....it has heavy sediments on it, but the clay bar should take that right off.....it also has a few clearcoat crack lines up by the latch (clearcoat only), but it's 3 years old, so that's to be expected from daily driving and the HOT Louisiana sun.....keep in mind, they don't make these hoods anymore, and it's $500 NEW, w/o shipping......I now have a cool, LIGHT as hell hood, that will be a little project for me as well.....[:D]

here she is, like a dusty old car that was in a barn, now rescued and being put back to good use [thumb]

that's my awesome find.......I have wanted one since 2003.....[strongman]

here it is DIRRRRTY:

it's a project, but it should turn out good :)

yah when you paint it you will have to clear it a ton of times...it's gonna fish eye and your gonna have to dot all the holes then sand and do it all over again lol...my friend Jason said he had to do it 6 times and they still aren't all gone!!

but congrats on the purchase and good luck gettin it all fixed up man :D

You're a bastard! I've wanted that hood for a while. And $150! I hate you!

Ok you're not a bastard and I dont hate you. But that's a steal and you're very very lucky!

yes he is a bastard but thats besides the point haha

my buddy has that on his civic and it looks pretty good, have fun with it, can't wait to see it

the clay bar smoothed it up, but the wax didn't take off the haze. I am gonna try some mild compounds later on....I WILL throw it on the car first, just to see it [:)] it's been on that car for YEARS, so I have to help the top coat out in the center......

You can keep it cf dude lol...you just clear over it :p It makes it look 10x better when you clear it with clearcoat...it makes nice depth and whatnot. looks badass :D

it will be on tomorrow, unless I have no time to get bolts and fit it on......don't worry, lots of picts will follow.....just need to get it cleared. I will rock it like this for now.....[thumb]

this is the FIRST CF anything I have ever owned.......i like it....

check it out-----if I rub really fast the haze comes off.....it's acid rain or something that he didn't clean off and it built up, like on windows......I am DEF gonna get some compound to try and get it off.......matter of fact, I have waterspot remover my dad gave me in my room.........[:)]

again word of warning...it will fisheye when you sand it down and clear it :D

Hope you get it cleaned up pretty good. It does look a bit rough.

Me, not a fan of that hood but it's your car that's what matters.

it's coming off...slowly....

you can tell in this shot, and it feels smoother too......and this is just the cleaner, no wax yet.....

huh...I know when my friend painted my hood he sanded the crap out of it for a long time so I'm wondering how there was any sediments in the first place?!?

lookin good blue!

okay, I got it as best I could with the compound, and threw a coat of wax on it for now.

it's a lil smeary, but a LOT better than when i picked it up.....

with flash.....you can see EVERYTHING:

WITHOUT flash....looks sweet:

sorry for the mess...I'm deploying, and shit is EVERWHERE.....[hihi]

P.S. YES, that is a collection bumper hiding out...it's Prolly gonna go to Arrestmespi, I don't have a need for it right now, and it has damage from my buddy.....
