Well... Got a payment from the VA today for my GI Bill that was $6000 to much. I didn't want to take the chance in spending it and then them wanting it back, so I called them and told them they paid me to much. They are putting in a claim for it to get looked into, and will get back to me by the end of next week. Until then, I have $6000 extra in my checking account that I can't touch. Such a sad day!! [bigcry] I really want to splurge on that PW.

Carry on!

Yeah, I was in the Corps for 4.5 years, and they are pretty slow on giving back pay and such. But man, they give you one more penny then needed, and they take it back so fast without any warning!

On another note, I'll make sure to send out all those parts orders as soon as they tell me I can keep it! I know they'll be taking back... I just don't know when.

i actually caught their mistake and it still took them a month to collect. luckily, i saved the money and just gave it right back.
go with the procharger btw, you wont be disappointed!!

It is either a toss up between the PW and the Procharger kits. The only thing I don't like with the Procharger is how it is all mounted. I don't like how low it all is. People all say it isn't that low, and that you just have to watch how you drive... but I bottom out the front of the car every morning when I leave the PD parking lot. There is no way around it...

That is going to kill me if it takes them a month to take the money back!!! I'm just trying to act like it is not even there.

I'll second the Procharger, it really isn't that low but if that bothers you then just get a front mount instead <-- maybe an extra $200. Don't spend that money... at least not more than you can afford to pay back! :)

I'm not even going to think about touching that cash!!! I learned that from when I was in the Corps many years ago. I let them know about it right away. Now I just have to wait until they take it back.

Where did you get your procharger and how much was it?

You get any dyno numbers?

One thing I have noticed, it sits too low for me. I want to see if i can get the provided intercooler in the front mount position to minimize extra piping or loss of boost pressure from a larger intercooler.

it would be. normally longer and thinner. i just figured that the ic they gave me from the kit was already pretty damn good and doesnt need any help until i turn up the boost, which wont be for a while. Nah, i kinda lost my license so it doesnt really matter for the next 2 months.

Dude you must hit your bottom header Pipe everytime then when you bottom out. If you're not then you are not bottoming out all the way. Unless this was just a flaw with the 02 SVTs but if I bottom out all the way on mine I can hear the header hit the ground. and BTW you weren't an officer were you? If you weren't then there's no reason to say "carry on" LOL. I would laugh if some enlisted guy told me to carry on lol.

The front facia bottoms out on the corners. (since I take it at an angle) I can't even imagine how much it would bottom out if I took it head on!

Yes I was a Sergeant in the Corps and got my 1st Bachelors degree while active duty. I recieved my commission over 3 years ago just after I got out, and I am a Captain in the reserves now. Only have 1 more month left in!! I just started on my 2nd Bachelors degree... and it sucks!

That is a very common phrase to hear in the Marine Corps, whether it come from an enlisted or officers mouth. When I was enlisted, if someone would have laughed at me after saying that, I would have taken them behind the dog kennels and beat the crap out of them. No that's not hazing, that's just the tough love of the Corps!

And on that note...

Carry on! [thumb]

Someone from the VA finally got back to me last night and the money is now gone. The funny thing was, they made it all sound like it was all my fault. What happened in reality was someone looked at the dates wrong, and sent 5 months of "back pay". It is all fixed now, so I no longer have the extra money just sitting there taunting me... Thank God!! Plans for the PW are still set for spring. [:D]

LOL, Thats interesting. In the Air Force if someone enlisted said that everyone would look at them funny to say the least!! That is a phrase pretty much reserved for Officers who are done talking to you and wish to leave the area. I've never heard someone enlisted try and use the phrase, probably for the reason listed above.
