and rental car is a good thing? lol im not old enough to drive a rental car, i think that you have to be 21 to drive one, 25 to rent.. i guess by the time that i would be buying one, i would be close to that age..
but it would be a bit of a hassel, and i dont know how saab handles mods with warrenties

That is a F$%#ing good one! You are a funny one! Why WOULD one want a 224 hp/ 226 lb-ft 2.5L turbocharged AWD sports car (without hard crank issues) [???:)]

Just kidding around [thumb]
LOL... cause an ST with mods EXACTLY like mine would beat it!!!

i am thinking that it was an RS not a WRX cuz i have test driven an RS and it was fast.. and i had a 2.3 before.. either way put about a grand into the WRX and it would be completly different..

Yes, and I doubt the Focus would get the thumbs up from Ponch if the hood was popped. My best friend had a (modified) WRX that left my hands shaking the first time I rode in it. His STI is the same way (only more so). I LOVE my Focus, but it is no Subaru.

What was this thread about again[???:)]

Who cares if your car is loud, as long as its fast. Just not slow and loud, thats what i think.
The police in states with overly strict exhaust laws.

if u dont want to sound like a ricer, cut the muffler off, and do like we do, see a cop or get near him shift up and let off the gas, or keep her at low rpm till cop goes away

My girlfriend has a Volvo with a 2.5L 5 cyl (like in the Euro Focus ST only NA) It has a nice tone, but each cylinder still displaces 0.5L, so it isn't any deeper than a 2.0L, it just has more combustion events per revolution.
I like the sound of Nissan's old school (60's) s20. DOHC 2.0L straight six. It has 0.33L of displacement per cyl. It sounds like a little Indy car.
Same with the Carrera GT. I have seen a a few around here (3). They sound exactly like an Indy car. They have .57L per cyl with 10 cyl. @ redline (8400 rpm) it is pretty neat stuff.

I think a 2.0L 4cyl engine sounds nice, ours included. Put on the header, and stick on the Powered by Cosworth badge. I really don't think it will be loud enough to get you any tickets.

BTW
Top speed police interceptor Crown Vic= 129mph
Top speed of police radio (radio waves)= +/- 186 miles per second
Top speed of night stick= fast enough[chair]
