I have a question regarding sound, do your exhaust systems (borla, magnaflow, etc.) gurgle or pop when you slow down and the RPM's go down?? I'm asking this cause my very expensive exhaust got all jacked up. [V]

Has anyone removed the resonator from the stock system. Im thinking about replacing it with a piece of pipe and a nice tip as a short term appearance upgrade on a SE. With the other mods going on, cant afford a proper system until xmas or after the first of the year. Used systems are hard to find for a sedan, and shipping almost kills any savings anyway.

Errr, there are no GReddy exhaust systems for a focus buddy. There's only
Borla-i've heard very good things-loud
Magnaflow-i've also heard very good things-quiet and deep
Tanabe-crap for price mine broke-extremely deep
FocusSport-I dunno
FocusCentral-still blank
Flowmaster-STILL blank
MBRP-very cool, probably what i'm getting-LOUD
Pacesetter-CRAP-don't buy
APEXi-Japan import-Bonified Ricer series
5Zigen-Japan's leader in exhaust-Super Bonified Ricer series
HKS-hardcore-i don't know what it sounds like
JBA-random exhaust
Bassani-Never heard of it, but sounds reliable
Jardine Thordley-stupid-don't buy
Thermal Design-I've heard GOOD things about this one too-don't know what sounds like
Toucan-STUPID, don't buy it

It also depends on how big of an engine you have ex. 2.0L year model 00'
Check your engine, gives you all the info you'll ever need right on top of it.[thumb]

If you aren't going to tune-up your engine, you should stick with the 2.25" exhaust, Magnaflow is cool yet so is Borla and all the others except the ricers(5Zigen, Tanabe, APEXi). 2.5" won't fit on your cat either. If you go with 2.5", you'll need to get 2.5" headers, 2.5" flexpipe, and a 2.5" hi-flow cat. Just get 2.25"

This information is incorrect, please ignore it.

Just seeing how you all were talking bout dropping the rear axle to get the old one out and the new one in...i cut my old one out and the new one actually went under the axle. It is the Hks hi-power. I like it alot....not ricey at all, but more of a deep sound that isn't that loud until you get on it. Any suggestions on flex pipes and where to get them from?

Yep, that's what my Magnaflow sounds like. Except louder (since I have full exhaust)
