After seeing MyBlackST's factory grill, and pittpanther's painted grill...

This is what happens when you get REALLY bored.. $10 for paint/clearcoat and a couple of hours later..

The car is a mess, thanks to all the rain.. so don't mind it too much.

Now if only we had some dry weather, I could get everything cleaned up!

I don't remember what it is called but I bought it at autozone and it has a pic of a chevy malibu on it. Hold on I will try and find it.

Dupli-color auto paint and a clear coat.
Make sure you primer it also.

It really does a lot for the front end. Makes it look less Taurus and more focus like. Good job.

just primer, paint, and clear coat? would it help to sand it down at all or do you think that the crome would peel or something?

That's exactly what I want to do with my '05 chrome grille. I detest the chrome...it makes it look cheap in my opnion.

Wow... back from the dead! hehe

Took me about 1 1/2 hours...

You have to really buff up the chrome so that paint will stick. (I had to paint it again, since I did a bad job the first time and it chipped a lot).

I think I did 3 coats of primer, 5 coats of paint, and then 5 coats of clearcoat. It has sort of a matte look to it, but I like it. I still have to wax it though.
