From below. Facing the vehicle, on the RHS, there's a black cover similar to the one below, that protects the shift and selector cables. You don't need to remove the cover to check for the reverse light switch.

You could use a separate thread for issues other than finding the speed sensor (if equipped).

Short comment about "cutting out/revs" in the initial post is unrelated to speed sensing and failure to crank DEFINITELY is.

Complete failure to respond (no clicks etc.) when cranking CAN be related to the clutch safety switch, which can be tested & bypassed temporarily as needed.

No crank WITH a click you have to check battery and connection condition first, as that is the most common area for a fault.

Polygon has been a great help with IB-5 pictures/info., for either type transmission you are looking in the same general area from below for a speed sensor.
