What not even in the higher TI trim????!!!?

People still choose to drive manual NOT because it's cheaper because it's FUN!!

Wake up Ford! (seriously!) [smackbum]

And still no HID option!

I guess it doesn't matter for me, personally. I'm not buying a Focus (or any car in this size class) again. Next up is the Fusion Sport or Fusion Energi.
It's alright anyway it will be made in Mexico the next gen Focus anyway.... damn this is depressing!!! /nogrinkingfortoday

There was no 5 speed Titanium in the MK3.5 (2015+) to begin with, the customer demand isn't there.

When there was demand that they caved into and made the Ti available with the 5MT as a zero cost option for 12-14 it didn't sell well enough to keep it in the face lifted model.

The problem is enthusiasts bang hammers about wanting more manuals but they don't buy new cars, certainly not new econoboxes in high specification with a manual transmission.

Those who want a manual Focus with some luxury appointments such as leather seats would probably be better served with the ST or RS anyway and have a much faster car.

Already have the ST... but doesn't mean I don't care about the future of the std Focus...

The problem is the DCT... how many people here have switched to a 5sp and were completely in love with their Focus again?

Now there is even less choice considering the SE, SEL and TI are out of question!

The SE can have a manual transmission but it comes paired only with the 1.0L EcoBoost in 2017.

Damned if you do and damned if you don't. I.e. no one buys the 2.0L and 5 speed compared to the DCT (something like 90-95% of all MK3s were DCT prior to the 1.0L and 6M/AT in the base models and it's still a really small percentage of manuals between the 1.0 and 2.0L base models currently.

If the demand was there where people were ordering them and demanding that dealers stock them they may have lived, but if they don't sell then they get relegated to the history bin.

People cried that the 5 speed was too old and archaic and wanted a 6 speed, but they also don't want a 1.0L turbocharged three cylinder engine to go with it, so they won't be happy.

I wouldn't complain if the DCT was good... saying so would be burying his head in the sand.

Hence the future MK3 is doomed, critics already bashed a lot on Ford regarding this.

I see myself stuck with already old MK1 & MK3 manual in the future...

My 14 Focus is made in Hermasillo. That's already in Mexico for the 14 MY. Perhaps some were and some were not?
That's weird ...

Ford Focus (Sedan, Hatchback, ST, and Electric version) to be moved out in 2018 from Michigan Plant...

Did yours was imported?

"We will move production of the next-generation Ford Focus and C-MAX, which currently are built at Michigan Assembly Plant, beginning in 2018," the company said in a statement. "We actively are pursuing future vehicle alternatives to produce at Michigan Assembly and will discuss this issue with UAW leadership as part of the upcoming negotiations."

No idea. I'll take a picture of door sill sticker the next time I get into the car. I think my window sticker also said Hermasillo.
Um yeah that's not right at all. The transmission was built in Mexico if you had a DCT, but final assembly for all 2012-2017 Foci since 2010 was at Michigan Assembly Plant, in Wayne Michigan. No MK3 Focus has been built in Mexico. Germany, Thailand, China, and the USA, but not Mexico.

I definitely did not get that sticker when I bought the car.

I checked the door sill and must have misremembered where I saw the build location (window sticker).

I guess I must have been looking at a different window sticker! Carry on, folks!

My Michigan sticker is already peeling off. Debating whether I should take it off or leave it until it falls off by itself.
