The car came with a clean { mk3 } rear subframe and LCA’s.”

So is this a typo, or can one really swap a 2012 & up rear subframe onto a 00’-07’ ?
It's true. Bolts right up to the car, mk1 arms and sway bar all bolt on. Only 2 things are the exhaust hanger isn't on the subframe like it is on mk1 subframes, and the evap canister mount holes are different. You can make new holes like I did, or ziptie it or honestly just let it sit there, it's probably not going to fall out.

It might be thicker/stronger, I'm not sure if there's a benefit there. But clean ones still readily available so it's the best option imo.

Ok, got another Q.
Can one swap a rear subframe from a sedan to a wagon?
(minus the knuckles of course.)

Bump I suppose.
Ordered new front LCAs and outer tie rods and all endlinks so almost everything suspension-wise will be new. Have a new valve cover kit coming from massive, timing components showed up too. Scored a Focus central plug wire cover to go with that. Also Massive header hardware to go with the fswerks header whenever that comes in.

Still have to meetup with Mr Highmilewagon to score the esslinger cam gears and some other goodies.

Oh and I even got a new hood prop grommet!
