What kind of performance parts are there for the 2.0 DOHC ZETEC such as turbo and other accesories. I am planning to put a zetec in my escort. And i would appericate the help.[?|]

I have a 1994 ford escort 5-speed lx since they dont make turbo kits for them and barely any performance part so i am think about going ZETEC!!! But if you can tell me what parts that i can still use off of the escort like trans, wiring harness, and other. Or other technical advices.

THank you

You don't need a turbo "kit" to turbocharge your car. Cruise around the web for some of the bigger Escort forums, and talk to those who have gone turbo themselves. Put together your own kit! Turbocharging a naturally aspirated car is a daunting enough task; swapping in a totally different engine seems to me like it'd be a more difficlut task, both financially and technically. But, hey, it's your dime [drinking]

I wonder how much that really upped the performance of that escort?
Well I believe it needed a new engine anyway. But considering stock the engine zetec is 130 hp over 105 for the stock escort motor it must have been decent.

I think that you will have no regrets with going to a Zetec.........inexpensive changeover but you will be able to do tons of stuff then.........honestly I wouldn't think twice.........
