Are the metal Zetec valve covers that come off of the cougar/contour Zetec ALUMINUM, or some other type of metal? Thanks!!

My valve cover is from a 95' contour....it fits....leaks a bit of oil but is made of aluminum.

Great for powder-coating.

I would say if it "leaks a bit of oil" then it doesn't fit. But that's just me.

the gaskets are slightly different by half-years, so you might have picked up a gasket that doesn't seal all the way, that's all

Yea the 95 contour gasket leaks on one end because it's lacks the "slots" that the stock focus has but instead relies on pressure from the bolts to keep everything in place.

ahhh gotcha. just use some gasket maker or something??

I really ought to. But I just haven't gotten around to it yet lol.

I also did need to use spacers because the height is a bit different on the valve covers.
