Yeah that's why I jumped on a SVT exhaust when I saw it. The seller didn't know it was a borla system so I got the full exhaust with header and dipstick for $250 lol.

This car isn't a target for serious modifications as far as the engine goes. If shit breaks I'll upgrade it. The exhaust hangers all rotted away which made me look for a svt exhaust. My car also needs 4 wheel brakes. Knowing that, I may have scored a SVT brake setup and svt suspension lol.

I did wires and a coil because I was chasing a poor idle, and I replaced them with OEM stuff... Wouldn't hurt at 190k miles.

Thanks for all the info! I should be swapping out the motor next week.

Pro tip:
get a new water pump, the O rings are not reusable! lol. got stuck 2 days because it was pissing coolant from the o ring!


Took the old head off, gasket looks ok? can see discoloration on 2 middle cylinders from low compression I guess.











Car runs 100% better now. Doesn't stumble/stall in park or at random stop lights anymore, and it pulls much smoother going onto the interstate.
