does anyone close to sac have a xcal scan tool i can use to plug into my focus to see if my o2 sensor is messing up, or what could cause me to get crappy mpg [???]

Do you have a CEL? If not the scan tool won't help you.

I have one but what maintenance have you done lately? Could be a number of things

well someone from a thread in ZETEC PERFORMANCE chat in the thread 20mpg said to use the xcal to moniter my o2 sensor, i did the oil change, new platnium 2 spark plugs, and new thermostat and coolant thats it, timing belt need to be done cus i am at 110k
