I contacted Tom and he wants me to do a datalog for him, but I'm having issues connecting my XCal III to my Win8.1 computer. I had it connected before, but then had to reboot my laptop due to a virus. I remember having issues getting it connected before, but I can't remember what I did. Things I've tried: I've tried uninstalling the XCal driver via the device manager; I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling the SCT Updater software; I've tried running the SCT Updater as administrator...all had the same result, nothing. When I plug the XCal in, it will go through the process of installing a driver, but won't connect to computer. Even tried to update the driver via the device manager and that yielded the discovery of another driver being available, but couldn't download it because it couldn't find it. Please help.

What the general consensus of the interweb is, is it's a hardware conflict. At the time the XIII was made USB 2.0 was the standard. New computers are using USB 3.0 and that is where the conflicts start, and why drivers are so important.

EUREKA!!! The driver file worked. I had a feeling that's what was causing the issue, but I couldn't find where to download them. Thanks.

Edit:
I got the xcal to connect to the computer, but now having issues datalogging. I keep getting this message:
"Fatal Error During Setup Process (Mode: RP)

Does anyone know where I can find the previous version of Live Link? I'm using the Gen II version now, but can't find the previous version to save my ass.
