SCT SF3 New Tune Issue on Gen1 Focus (need old tune LFW file)

I am wondering if anyone on here has any strategy tune backups for the SCT SF3 3015 (Ford)?

I have been running tune version XP 1.8.0 for a few years on a Gen1 focus and it was especially good for firming up shifts (1-2 mostly).

When I updated the firmware this month to enable LiveLink GenII it installed a new strategy tune 2.101PFDUS

Unfortunately there are some problems with tune 2.101PFDUS and Gen1 Focus (SBDC4Z9) - the transmission pressure settings don't work and the shifting is mushy like stock! Horrible. Also a minor issue - the default low/hi fan temperatures are set to 178/188 degrees (too cool for a N/A Focus)

So I tried to force my programmer to an old firmware (1.2.131) but am missing the LFU file with tune XP 1.8.0. Now my SCT SF3 has no tune loaded, and doesn't even display the LCD menu icons properly (textures missing). Can't update with no tune.... ARGH!

Anyone have older LFU files for the X3 3015? Should be called X3LWTR180UP.LFU or similar.

Also, if not, I hope SCT can help me over the phone :( Really would prefer to go back to the old tune but I just don't have the tools with this auto updater.

Thanks in advance for any help, I wish the tuner would allow manual updates and saving of tunes/firmwares. [sadpanda]

SCT will not have the ability to go backwards , you should of stayed with livelink 6.5 its more user friendly and less issues with it , I think SCT is closed till the 3rd or 4th

For 150.00 I can do you a full custom tune with free tune updates as you add more NA mods and my datalogging services

Thanks for the reply. I really hope they will go backwards or at least fix their strategy tune, since they broke it somewhere between 1.8.0 and 2.x.

Closed till 4th? Daaamn. :)

SCT SF3 LFU tune needed

Hard to believe no one kept any backups of LFU files for these flashers/tuners? Unfortunately I got mine when they already switched to autoupdate nanny mode. :)

SCT tech support managed to get me back up to the latest Firmware/Tune (after quite a wait as it's busy now). But yes, they are unable to revert to an older tune.

Will be calling in the issue with the transmission on latest Tune next time.

(they're open over the holidays just with skeleton crew)

Update

SCT totally ignored my detailed report on the shift issue for Gen1 Foci (and default temperatures). I literally got no response to a support ticket in nearly a month.

I have since bought an older X3 with Firmware 1.5.0 XP that fixed the problem and the car is back to exactly how it was before updating.

I guess SCT doesn't care if it messes up older cars in their updates.

X3 and 3015 are the same Flashers , 3000 comes with no tunes loaded , 3015 comes with pre loaded canned tunes but there both XCAL3

You would of been far better off buying a custom tune file for your old X3 and would of made far better performance and much better trans shifting as just changing the shift points and shift psi isnt all thats needed

It isnt that SCT doesnt care as much as your working on a 12 year old Focus , more then likely bought a used x3 or it came with your Focus so you bought nothing from SCT and are not entitled to any customer support as your warranty on the xcal3 is long over

All you had to do was stick with the livelink6.5 , not go to the Livelink Gen2 and you could of datalogged just fine , shoot me a PM before you do anything else and I can tll you what to do and what not to do with your older unit

No I wouldn't "of been" far better off, that's your opinion and you don't know my circumstances/requirements. I'm better off the route I chose to take.

You're full of ASSumptions buddy. You have no [:)][:)][:)][:)][:)][:)][:)][:)][:)] idea about what I paid for or didn't pay for, and from whom.

Oh gee.... Tom you're such a fu[:)][:)][:)][:)][:)][:)] wise guy, .... again! you don't know what kind of data logging requirements I had. I used the online updater offered by SCT actively and advertized as an improvement, and indeed the data logging software WAS a big improvement. They need to get their stuff together by not breaking old tunes though.

You are a rude dude that thinks people should just buy more stuff from you, and that SCT doesn't owe anyone anything for sending crap firmwares into people's devices for which people paid for with hard earned money. Please don't EVER reply to my posts again, as I've had enough of your small minded posts personally. You ASSume way way waaaay too much about people's situations. If SCT doesn't want to support old devices they should block updates, and put that in their manuals that no updates will be offered once warranty expires.

I didnt assume anything , I posted to what you stated even where you eddited

I dont need to know your circumstances/requirements , I know the tuning software and just the user adjust changes and it isnt all that needs to be changed , there more for when you get a tune to make adjustment to you liking , more fine tuning

I didnt ask you to buy anything that you assumed ,
