Ok i bought some tail lights that seem to be for a 2000 focus sedan and they dont seem to have the hole for the blinker socket like the tail lights on my 03 do. Now I have a small project which i will expose to everyone but what im trying to do is figure out how to wire my blinker to the brake light just like the 05-07 have so that way I dont have to cut a hole to put the blinker in. I have already tried it but for some reason it was making my third brake light blink and once i pressed the brake the blinker stopped so any clues??

So your project is to reduce safety in the name of being unique?

Your wiring issue/problem lies in the relays.

Same prob. I went to a junk yard trying to find some 03' tail lights for my zts. Apparently in 01 ford integrated the turn signal with the brake. Let me know if you find a fix.
