Hi, I have a 2003 1.6 focus but I have a problem with my wipers. When I push the stalk up, it goes down fine. But when I push it down, wherever the wiper is when I let go, the wipers just stop wherever they are. Is there a way to fix this or is it normal. Thanks jim

Most likely it is a bad relay. Try sticking a new one in or swap you front and rear wiper relays and see what happens.

That's the answer - Mine does the same thing intermittently, I'll TRY cleaning the relay contacts some day - BUT it's probably a relay on it's way out.....
