It looks like it will and if it does tell that seller to keep them coming.

Nice find.

You'd have to make the down tube section custom to fit a Focus, same with the EGR bung location.

^^

You can use the flange from your cat and it will fit perfectly.

The EGR tube can either be added by a exhaust shop OR can be deleted by the SCT.

but it's....PACESETTER...
so, what you'd rather have a stock manifold? At least it's an inexpensive option ...

Klondike; the model you've seen on eBay should work fine on our cars, I picked it out of their website as compatible directly to the escorts we figured would allow us to start with ...

btw; google the pn and get it off a regular website for $169 + no S&H cost ...

The thing with these is you have to relocate everything. So you're going to have to replace everything and pay someone to weld it for you.

The cheapest way is get a flange from those years escorts and add that to your cat to connect it to the header. then cut the flanges off your old focus stuff and add one to the end of the cat and the beginning and end of the flex pipe. then you're all set.

One thing though. I noticed while I was under the car, the flex pipe is really bent and looks like it would be hard or costly to duplicate. so heres a question- could you attach the header to the flex then a cat? or would the flex pipe just break?

ok another thing, i get a flex from tin so would that header go from well the header straight to the flexpipe, or is there something inbetween that?
and what exactly is a flange, i sorta know but dont really know what it does//how it works
and egr if i get a tune it just removes it right? is egr like a senosr of sorts or what?

pacesetter is widely known because they have the cheapest headers and cat-back systems.

I don't know about this particular pacesetter product, but I have heard mixed reviews. Back when I had my 626 pace setter was the only option, and about 3/4 of the people said pacesetters were well worth their cheap price, and only 1/4 of the people said they were complete crap.

I don't know what to say, you usually get what you pay for as far as car parts go, but maybe pacesetter isn't as bad as people say sometimes. Of course anyone with a zetec will say they are crap, simply because they have options, but they don't feel the struggle that we do.

and klodike, no matter what you're going to have to fab something. if you don't know how to weld, you better start looking for a custom exhaust shop that will do it for you. there is no way around moving your cat-converter. on top of moving it you have to get the right flange on it.

the reason i did the research on the headers was because i intended to completely replace the entire system. i planned on getting a pacesetter header, and a univeral high flow cat that you just hack and weld to fit your car. I was debating whther or not to buy a bigger flex pipe because that would have to be oober custom and percise.
(hopefully with an escort header we can squueze the cat in before the flex pipe)
then just using the MBRP flex back. i think this would be a HUG improvement over the stock setup.

There is a few custom exhaust places around boston that are widely known for being skilled, but I'm sure I could get things done much cheaper in hartford from someone just as knowledgable but not as known.

but back to klondike, someone has to try the pacesetter, but sorry there is now way you can just bolt things up. maybe if you went without a cat at all, but thats not too smart.

theres only the muffler shop in town, they do good work, but i dont know if they could do all that for me, im sure theyd do it, cuz id do header, new flex, and mbrp catback, but also i doont wanna get raped in price, i know a few guys that can weld, ill ask them about it and see if they can help me out, if so ill prolly take a shot at doing the header then to flexpipe to catback. but ill see what they say, so the need to weld on a flange then or do they need to move the flange?

everyone likes to complain about the pacesetter ... but what other options do we have? a stock manifold is going to be outperformed by ANY header ... a good header of course would outperform a 'crappy' one ... but how are we supposed to come up with one to fill that purpose? We have to think about WHY we're in this predicament anyway people ... NOTHING ELSE IS AVAILABLE!

soo ture playa, the cvh engines are gonna be no more, so why make aftermarket parts for them, we are a dieing/dead breed of engine now, its all custom now to make our cars perform. all i can say thois this is a hell of an engine and will be very nice when/if i boost it in 1-2 years, hopinf for 200+whp which i think is doable with upgraded lentech stuff
