Hi,

I am driving a 2008 SES which came standard with 205/50/16 tires.

The S and SE are equipped with 195/60/15 tires as standard.

Now my question is, can I use 195/60/15 as winter tires (would buy steel wheels) on my SES, although it is standard equipped with 205/50/16?

Believe it or not, different Ford dealers gave different answers to this question, and the customer service line was not able to answer at all. The owner manual does not provide this info as well.

Thanks for any tips

I recommend using 185 65 15. Nearly Identical height to the 195 60 15 and less contact patch in the winter the better. :)

yea i would say a 195 would probably be better then a 205 in the snow... my friend has a mid 80's VW fox and the tires look like they belong on a bike, but in the snow its an animal.
