hey guys I'm changing my timing belt and i'm getting a kit from this page:

but I don't know if my 01 zx3 2.0 liter DOHC zeetec has one or two idler pulleys. Any recommendations?

You will have 1 Idler pulley and 1 tensioner pulley

the kit that has 2 idler pulleys is for the ZX2/Contour and will not fit the Focus.

dammit wish you would've posted sooner. I ordered the one with two pullies and the belt and tensioner are fine but niether of the pullies fit. How big of a deal are the pullies? and what will be the signs that start to show up when the old pullies start to go?

Well, it's not the end of the world if they don't get done at the same time. But if they do take a shit you'll certinly be doing it all over again. So it boils down to piece of mind thing.

Also just so you know I have siezed a timing tensioner and it wasn't at any predictable time or convient time, Christmas morning.
