......for a tall person. I need all the visible area possible at the top edge of the window on the driver side. Here's what it looks like now.....there's about a 2" space on the top edge not being cleaned.

And here's the clearance at the lower end of the wipe...

There is a set of ANCO Contour blades on there now.....24" x 18". It looks like I could go with a set of 26" x 16/17". I can't find those sizes in the Contour, but Bosch makes similar blades in those sizes. Anybody have experience with these longer blades? Can the Focus turn a 26" blade without stressing the wiper motor?

The stock sizes are 22"x18" I think....and leave a big area of the windshield out of the wiper range.....

The stock size(s) on mine are 2 different sizes with the longer one on the drivers side.

So you can keep the passenger side shorter to clear the A-pillar.

Don't know about the wiper motor though.....

I wouldn't even worry about it. Think of all the heavy snow and crap with wipe off. What's the most it could be, a couple of ounces ?

Well I'm not concerned about the weight of the blade. The problem would be the extra force needed to push the longer blade during heavy rains or snow, and whether the blade would turn slower, and if the linkage could handle the extra load. Anybody using a 26" blade on the driver side?
