Hello I'm new to the Forum, hope I'm posting in the correct section.
Been look for something more sport than my correct vehicle.
2004 Chevy Malibu 2.2L Base Model.

But somewhere in the same region of MPG. Finally something I can turbo.
My last ford was 93 escort 1.9L. I really love the hell out it. Rust got the better of it thou.

So I look at the Ford Focus within these ranges
6000$ and below
ZX3 or SVT ZX3(Is that correct?)
One with sun/moon roof
Heated seats if possible.

Thank you in advance for any replys.

Are you looking at specific cars for sale or is this a question for the Foci in general because it is very hard to find an Svt especially in our area.

If you find an Svt, I would definitely say grab it hands down. They are a great car as is and a load of fun to drive. Zx3's are still great cars but have less power (but get better MPG's) and don't quite handle as well but are still miles ahead of most other compact cars of that era.

agreed, more specifics in your question will help with the replies.

IMO i wouldn't just pick up an SVT because they are hard to get in your area, you still need to be careful when buying an SVT. they have a lot of known issues that need to be looked into before the purchase. read through the SVT forum and you'll see some of the common problems and you'll know what to look for.

if this is going to be a daily driver and you're looking to save some money in gas, go with the ZX3. i have both a zx3 and SVT. my zx3 is my daily and i could not complain at all. great on gas, and reliable as heck. i even purchased snow tires and i have yet to have a problem in the winter. i paired it with some minor performance upgrades (exhaust, suspension, intake, short shifter, dog bone) and the car was transformed. it made daily driving a bit more exciting!

No problem, we are here to help.

As an owner of an Svt, it is a great car with good performance. The power may be lacking compared to some other cars but the handling is one of the best. I have averaged about 27 mpg but I am not babying it either. Plus, being a hatch, it is still a very practical car and I use mine harder than many owners use their trucks.

If you have any specific question on the Svt or stock Focus, ask away. Me or someone else will be happy to answer them to the best of our abilities.

Welcome to FocusFanitic's![welcome]
I would figure out what model you are looking for 1st= 3dr,5dr, or sedan or a wagon! Then figure out what motor your looking for Zetec or Dura-tech. The 05's & new is when Ford put a beak on the front end & all the engine's are Dura-tech's, some of the '03's & '04's are Dura-tech 2.3L's All the Zetec's are 2.0L's including the SVT model's. SVT's are awesome car's, '02-'04 in 3dr & 5dr hatch's w/ 6-speed trans. A quick way to figure out what motor is the Zetec's have the exhaust on the front side, & the Dura-tech's have the intake on the front side. The ST model '05-'07 only is a sedan w/ a Dura-tech 2.3L & stick only. These are great car's, fun to drive, thank's to the the munti-link rear suspension & the awesome steering feel, & the aftermarket & Ford Racing Performance Part's! The platform is basically the same from 2000 to 2011! Don't be afraid to ask 'bout your Focus question's here.
