Hopefully your VIN number will tell the difference. That is why you always bring your vin number along to a Ford parts department. They will plug your vin number into their EPC [Electronic parts Catalog]and only those parts that are in your car will come up

Rough guess: Look at your shift knob. I think they changed in April 02. Pre-02 on left; post-02 on right.
