So I was told a couple months ago my shifting cables were becoming pretty worn. I had my transmission replaced and they couldn't connect the cables so they built a mount to get them to connect. Well yesterday I reversed and lost all gears and my car is stuck in 4th. So I'm assuming the cables are done. I opened the hood of my car to take a look and one of the plastic connectors was unscrewed on the cable and I tightened it but still stuck in gear. So my question is where in heck would I even buy manual shifting cables? I've looked online and can't find anything but automatic ones. /: is it super expensive to have them replaced?
Lol and I drove it home in 4th gear and I'm pretty sure that burned up my clutch because the car smelled awful of plastic almost for like 5 hours after I drove it. I just didn't want it to get towed (dumb I know).
